Our first PICNIC BASKET "SPECIAL" drop-in, potluck style community picnic is happening NEXT WEEK. 

What’s so special?: This collaboration between myself, Abstract Picnic and others (see below) includes a full day of donation based offerings on Saturday 8/30/25 with options to camp overnight at the Rio Grand Refuge in Velarde, NM and engage in some Sunday morning fun activities (8/31/25).

The Rio Grande Refuge is a developing community on 6 acres bordering the Rio Grande, with an intention to live more gently with our mother earth. Their generosity is making this event possible.

WHAT: See schedule below

SATURDAY 8/30/25

10am - 12pm: kriyayoga + a live dj set with makara (venmo:@nick-panaro-1).

 

Description: Energetic body meets evolutionary action. A two part, complimentary experience. Beginning inward with kriya yoga, an integrative practice that unifies breath, movement, and intuition. Leading us then to the external, where we take this cultivated internal space and share with others through a live dj set. creating a bridge between our internal and external landscapes. 

12- 1: potluck lunch

1-3: emergency preparedness for your mind, body, and soul by buddhist chaplain danny wolf. this session will include guidance on preparing a go-bag and more (venmo: ddwolf). EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GO BAG SUPPLY LIST & RESOURCES BY DANNY WOLF. 

3-4: sound bowl healing with earth love wave healing (venmo: @daniy0).

plus: adobe brick making by jeff hood of rio grand refuge (venmo: @jeff49hood); fire pit; rio grand swimming; camping; tarot; music; bubbles; chill conversation & hangout

SUNDAY 8/31/25

8/31 @8:30am: bird walkwith Mika Aguilar.

HOW: Things to bring: EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GO BAG SUPPLY LIST & RESOURCES BY DANNY WOLF. Please bring anything for potluck meals, yoga mats, bug spray (we’ll be near water), swimming gear, picnic seats/blankets, chairs, picnic gear (especially things to sit/lay on), camping gear (if you want to camp) and anything else that will contribute to your comfort. Or bring yourself and nothing else.
